Question 1

What is EcomShadow?

Accepted Answer

EcomShadow is multi-marketplace software for Indian e-commerce sellers. It lets you manage listings, inventory, orders, keyword research, AI-generated copy, label cropping, and product image generation across your Amazon India and Shopify stores from one dashboard. It was built by an active Indian seller, so the workflows are tuned for how Indian e-commerce actually behaves.

Question 2

Is EcomShadow free?

Accepted Answer

Yes — EcomShadow has a free forever plan with one marketplace connection, five keyword searches per month, twenty AI listings, and unlimited PDF & Label Cropper operations. You only pay ₹2.50 per order processed on the free plan. No credit card is required to sign up, and you can upgrade to Pro at ₹1,499/month when you outgrow the free tier.

Question 3

Which marketplaces does EcomShadow support?

Accepted Answer

EcomShadow currently supports Amazon India and Shopify. The Pro plan connects up to three stores at once; Premium connects six; Enterprise is unlimited. We're actively building integrations for Flipkart, Meesho, and Myntra — sign up for the newsletter to hear when each one ships, or vote on the public roadmap to influence the order.

Question 4

How is EcomShadow different from Helium 10?

Accepted Answer

Helium 10 is built for US Amazon sellers — its keyword data, fulfilment workflows (FBA-only), and pricing ($99+ per month in USD) don't fit the Indian market. EcomShadow uses Indian buyer search data, prices in INR (₹1,499/month for Pro), and was designed for Indian sellers handling RTO (return to origin) rates and festival sale spikes specifically. We also bundle a free PDF & Label Cropper and AI Image Studio, which Helium 10 doesn't offer.

Question 5

How is EcomShadow different from Unicommerce?

Accepted Answer

Unicommerce is enterprise-focused, requires a contract, and starts around ₹3,000/month with a six-month commitment. EcomShadow is no-contract self-serve software for SMB sellers in the ₹50K–50L monthly GMV range, with a free forever plan and pay-as-you-grow tiers. Browntape sits in a similar legacy enterprise-tooling category — EcomShadow's positioning is the same: lighter, faster to set up, no salesperson involved.

Question 6

Does EcomShadow work for new Amazon sellers?

Accepted Answer

Yes — the free plan is designed for sellers just getting started on Amazon India. Connect your Seller Central account in under 5 minutes (no setup wizard, no onboarding call). The founder runs PRIME METAL on Meesho himself and built EcomShadow specifically for first-time and small Indian sellers, so the workflows assume you're learning rather than already an expert.

Question 7

Is my data safe on EcomShadow?

Accepted Answer

Your data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 and in transit via TLS 1.3. Marketplace API credentials are stored in an encrypted vault separate from your workspace data. EcomShadow is built to comply with India's DPDPA (Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023) and we never share or sell seller data — that's a written commitment in our privacy policy.

Question 8

Do I need a credit card to sign up?

Accepted Answer

No — the free forever plan does not require a credit card. You can sign up with email and Google or email-OTP, connect a marketplace, and start using the dashboard within minutes. A card is only needed if you upgrade to Pro, Premium, or Enterprise, and we accept UPI AutoPay so you can pay without a credit card if you prefer.

Question 9

What is the PDF & Label Cropper and Image Studio?

Accepted Answer

PDF & Label Cropper takes the multi-page label PDF you download from Amazon Seller Central or Shopify and instantly crops out individual 4×6 print-ready labels, separates invoices, and produces a SKU summary — turning what used to be a 30-minute manual chore into one click. Image Studio takes a single product photo and generates six marketplace-ready images per pack: a hero shot, a closeup, two scene images, an in-use shot, and a promo with overlay. Both tools are included on every plan, even the free one.

Question 10

Can I cancel anytime?

Accepted Answer

Yes — there is no contract on any paid plan. You can cancel from your account settings at any time and your access continues until the end of the current billing month. Free plan users obviously have nothing to cancel — you can simply stop using the dashboard whenever you like.
