Competitor intel
The most expensive mistake in e-commerce is launching a dead product
Before you spend ₹50,000 on inventory, find out if the product actually sells. See what your competitor really earns each month, how their price changed across festivals, and whether reviews are growing or dying. Stop guessing.
Most Indian sellers find products the wrong way. They scroll Amazon for 30 minutes, see a product they "feel" will sell, order ₹50,000 worth of inventory from Indiamart, list it, and wait. Two months later, they've sold 12 units and their warehouse rent is eating the margin. The product was always dead. They just didn't have the data to know.
EcomShadow's Product Research module gives you the same data the big sellers and aggregators use, at a price the small seller can afford. For any ASIN on Amazon India or product on Flipkart, you see estimated monthly sales volume, estimated monthly revenue, BSR (Best Seller Rank) trend over the last 12 months, price history including festival drops and competitor reactions, review velocity (how many reviews per week — a dying listing review-velocity drops; a winning listing accelerates), star rating distribution, and the specific keywords driving traffic to that listing.
The data comes from Rainforest API for Amazon (the most accurate third-party source), SP-API Brand Analytics for verified search and conversion metrics, and our own Supabase snapshot history that we've been building since launch — which means even if a competitor delists, we still have their historical data. That last one is a long-term moat: nobody else in the Indian market has that data because nobody else thought to start collecting it early.
Save products to research lists organized by category. Set up tracking on a competitor ASIN to get a notification when their price drops, when their BSR changes by 20% or more, or when they launch a related variant. Run a "before launch" validation report that scores the opportunity from 1 to 100 based on demand, competition, and margin headroom. Most sellers skip this step and pay for the mistake. Don't.
